One of the things that I do every day is to send an email to my list asking them if they’ve seen my recent post on Building Customer Reputation with a specific Online Review System that I am using. The answer that I get every time is generally a positive one. The reason for this is that the vast majority of those who’ve been in the company for any length of time are now using these systems to help manage their reputations online. The reason why I like Google’s My Business and Birdeye is because I like helping small businesses succeed online. Here is what I said in a previous post on the matter:

The problem is, many small business owners don’t use them to the fullest extent possible. In cases like this, it could be said that a poor experience is better than no experience in any way. I know several people who use Google Places and Google My Business within their reputation management plan. They were happy enough to share with me what they’ve discovered so far. According to them, when they get a client referral, it’s extremely important to follow up with them to help make sure that they are content with the service they receive. But some business owners appear to think that simply as a referral is a fantastic review, it does not necessarily imply anything else. If a person leaves a bad review, you could end up missing a great opportunity to get more referrals.

Some internet business owners think that they already have the best reviews and they don’t really need anything else. That may be true sometimes. For example, some of these business owners provide software to help businesses manage reviews. While it’s a nice piece of software, if it’s only available to business owners, it is not likely that many folks will be interested in using it.
So if you’re looking to get a poor review opportunity website up and running, be sure that you find a company that offers a good experience regardless of what the situation is. Don’t give them false assurances. And ensure you’re treating every person who comes onto your website with the same respect that you want if they were a customer. That can allow you to have a better experience with each person, which will translate into a more favorable business experience for everybody.
